Sentry is a progressive farming business and due to continued growth we are looking for a Trainee Farm Manager to join the team. This is a real opportunity for someone early in their management career to get hands-on experience across a varied and forward-thinking operation.

Working closely alongside an experienced Farm Manager, you'll be involved in the day-to-day running of the farm business and gradually take on greater responsibility as your confidence and experience grows. The operation covers conventional combinable crops alongside sugar beet, and increasingly embraces new and novel crops, precision technology, and data-led decision making.

You can expect to be involved in:

• Day-to-day farm management and team support
• Data management and precision farming technology
• Logistics and operational planning
• Conventional combinable crop production
• New and novel crop enterprises

This role will suit someone who is practically minded but also comfortable working with data and technology. You'll need to be:

• Confident, commercially aware and a good team player
• Patient and flexible — farming rarely runs to plan
• Capable of taking responsibility and making decisions under pressure
• Detail-oriented with strong organisational skills
• Able to manage day-to-day issues calmly and effectively

A relevant agricultural qualification and some practical farm experience would be an advantage, though we're as interested in attitude and potential as we are in credentials.

Salary will be negotiated based on experience and qualifications.
